Another pub that is trying to find its feet after a turbulent recent few years. I believe it has been re-opened since December 2011 and on my visit it was a hot sunny day in August. The bar is a good size and there are some ales to choose from amongst the standard offerings of a pub. There is an extensive restaurant area at the back of the pub and they are trying to attract customers with a good menu. There is even a Christmas menu available and for a reasonable price you will be treated to a good seasonal choice. Menu boards can be found adorning the walls of the restaurant and a grill section. Food is served a la carte from a servery and it all looks very inviting. Underneath at the rear is a Function Room but I am not aware if it is yet available to hire. Outside is plenty of room for parking and on a lovely day tables are set at the front and across the road by the river. For those who wish to know, the toilets were very clean and presentable which is always a good sign in a public house.
